Abstract

Background. The research object is highly structured clinical data accumulated in the process of high-tech medicine with a focus on stem cell transplantation. The purpose of development and implementation of the program complex is optimization of processes of management of complicated-structured clinical data and support of scientific research in the field of hematopoietic stem cells.
Materials and methods. The authors researched the processes of formation and accumulation of complexly structured data of scientific and clinical research in the field of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
Results. The article provides an overview of the current state of development of medical information systems with an emphasis on information systems management processes and clinical data in the process of providing medical care and conducting scientific and clinical research. The researchers have developed an original software complex HSCT CDB. A distinctive feature of development is implementation of a reliable versioning data storage, a powerful modular interface, flexible multi-level directories, a module for analytical processing of clinical data and integration with laboratory information systems. The article gives the results of the HSCT CDB program implementation into research activities of divisions of hematopoietic stem cells transplantation at «FSCC PHOI n.a. Dmitry Rogachev» of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation.
Conclusions. The results of the HSCT CDB program complex implementation on the example of divisions of hematopoietic stem cells transplantation at «FSCC PHOI n.a. Dmitry Rogachev» of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation has shown the effectiveness of clinical data management systems as a means to support the processes of conducting research and clinical trials and organizing collection of complexly structured data for certain scientific investigations.
